I would like to discuss game design for my games and others and expand my knowledge on level design, game design and system design.
(That’s me…. and Sully.)
A little about me:
I started developing games as an indie developer towards the end of 2010. Around the same time I started my Game Design Degree at Full Sail University. I taught myself to make games while I was in my GE classes because the classes weren’t moving fast enough. Once I started game development classes I slowed down in my own projects to focus more on school. During my final project I met some of the smartest people I’ve ever met. One of which was working at Jumpstart - Knowledge Adventure at the time. Towards the end of our final project I was allowed to tour the studio and was able to land an interview. I stayed at Jumpstart moving up from intern to assistant level designer to Game Designer. Recently the studio was forced to lay off 1/3 or so of their staff. Me included. So now I am here. Back to where I started and excited for my next adventure.
And that’s the short version of the past 5 years of my life.
Feel free to comment on anything in the future months I am here to learn everything I can. And maybe even teach a little.
